Hello. My name is Alexey. I came to study at TRU from Russia in 2016. The first time I visited Canada was six years ago when my father decided to take our family here on a trip. At that time, our route included iconic places in British Columbia and the Yukon territory, and being inspired by the local unimaginable beauties of nature, I began to think about this country.
I like to travel. This love for everything new and unknown and the desire to unite around me people of my disposition, who share my goals and priorities pushed me to study at the Faculty of Tourism at TRU. Tourism is an industry whose clients tend to experience mostly positive emotions and are charged with memories. I believe that the tourism industry is actively developing and with the right presentation and organization, you can attract people to anything and give them the most unforgettable emotions. At least before the COVID-19 pandemic, tourism was one of the most promising areas, as people are always looking for new experiences and emotions, and with the growing purchasing power, many are ready to leave the usual border of their lives in search of something new. Even now, in a period of lockdowns with many logistical difficulties arising from the pandemic, there are people who continue to travel defying the unknown.
Among my other hobbies, I love sports. I regularly do CrossFit and one way or another sport is always present in my life. Three years ago, through physical activity and dietary changes, I managed to lose 60 kilograms of my own weight, which literally made my life easier, made me more confident and taught me that any goal can be achieved with strong motivation and hard work.
